In 2004, I came across this show again, for the first time since its run. While I could get
some of the episodes back, I never saw the ending on Monday, 2 January 1967.
Parody of "The Fugitive"
These are the scenes from the first episode, which was the only one in color. Leonard Stern decided that his parody
of James Bond, "Get Smart", was so good, that he invented a parody of "The Fugitive".
This series
did not really have much chance, because it was not in color, against the second half of "Iron Horse" on ABC and "I Dream
of Jeanie" on NBC. It was on CBS between "Gilligan's Island" and "The Lucy Show" on Monday nights, but "The Monkees"
were in front of "Jeanie" and "Iron Horse" was on an hour, making it unlikely anyone would switch from either network.
In Fall 1966, ABC was the first network to have all its primetime programs in color.
